Set defaults for every new upload
Set a visibility, category, license, tags, comment and embed switches and a description template once. Every new VideoBB video then starts with them.
Upload defaults are the settings every new video starts with. Set them once in your channel settings. Then you will not need to pick the same visibility, tags, license or links for each video.
How to set your defaults
- Open Studio › Channel and choose the Upload defaults tab.
- Pick a visibility, a category and a license, and type your usual tags, separated by commas.
- Set the Comments switch and tick or untick Allow embedding.
- Add a description template if you want the same text below every description.
- Press Save channel.
What each default does

Using the description template
The template is added to the end of each new description. It is a good home for your links, credits, gear list or a sponsor note. Put the main point of each video in the first line; the template sits below it.
Where the defaults apply

An uploaded file stays private until you press Publish on its details card. If you close the page first, find the video in your studio and publish it from there.
Changing defaults later
New defaults apply only to videos you add after saving. Existing videos keep their settings. To change one, open it in the studio and edit it there.
Unticking Allow embedding stops the video playing on other sites. Read embedding a video on your own site before you turn it off.
