Private and unlisted videos without views are deleted
VideoBB is not a storage service. A private or unlisted video is deleted after 30 days without views. See the warning, and how to keep a video.
VideoBB hosts videos so people can watch them. It is not a place to store files. A video that is private or unlisted is deleted after 30 days without views. Public videos are not affected by this rule.
The three visibility settings

You choose the setting on the upload page, and you can change it at any time in the studio.
What counts as a view
A view counts when someone other than you watches the video. Playing your own video does not count, and neither does traffic that is not genuine viewing. A private video can only be watched by you, so it gets no views while it stays private.
The warning before a video is deleted
- For the last 7 days, the studio shows the date next to the video: Will be deleted on that date unless it gets views.
- A banner at the top of the studio tells you how many of your videos are affected.
- Press Make public next to the video to keep it, or make it unlisted and share the link. Making a video public needs a chosen display name.
- If nothing changes, the video and its files are deleted on that date. This cannot be undone.
If you change a public video to private or unlisted
It always gets at least the 7-day warning first, even if nobody has watched it for a long time.
Videos this rule does not touch
- Public videos.
- Videos that are still uploading or processing.
- Videos you already deleted.
A video that could not be processed is treated like a private video, because nobody can watch it. Retry it from the studio, or upload the file again.
