Film and animation here means original work: short films, animated shorts, trailers, showreels and behind-the-scenes. Full-length feature films and broadcasts you do not own are not eligible for listing, even when they are uploaded.
Making-of videos, breakdowns and animation tests are welcome too. They often teach the craft better than the finished film does.
Frame rates and aspect ratios
Keep the frame rate you shot and animated at. Most narrative work uses 24 fps; animation often runs at 24 fps with drawings held for two frames. VideoBB keeps the source frame rate, so do not convert to 30 or 60 fps before upload. Our guide to frame rates explains why.
Wide aspect ratios
A 2.39:1 or 1.85:1 film can be exported at its true shape. VideoBB keeps the aspect ratio of the file and measures quality on the short side. That means a 3840 x 1608 scope master tops out at 1440p. If a 2160p version matters to you, export a 3840 x 2160 file with the black bars included.
Export from a 4K master
Upload the highest-quality master you have, not a compressed web copy. A 4K master gives every smaller version more detail. The 1440p and 2160p versions play for Premium viewers, while everyone can watch up to 1080p.

Should I upload my 24 fps film at 24 fps?
Yes. VideoBB keeps your source frame rate, so a 24 fps film plays at 24 fps. Converting it first only adds judder.
Can I upload a full-length film I do not own?
No. Uploading films you do not hold the rights to is copyright infringement, and full-length films and broadcasts are not listed in feeds or search.
Can I share a private screener with a festival?
Yes. Upload it as unlisted and send the link, or keep it private until your premiere. Embeds respect the same visibility.
