What car and bike viewers want
Auto viewers want detail: the engine note, the panel gaps, the dash at speed. A slow walkaround in good light and a clean exhaust sound tell them more than a long script. Shoot the car in open shade or on an overcast day to avoid harsh reflections on the paint.

Engine sound is part of the review, so treat it like dialogue. Plan where the microphones go before the car moves.
Stop the engine note from clipping
An engine at full throttle is very loud. A camera's automatic gain will squash it or distort it. Set the audio level by hand, or run a separate recorder near the exhaust with a wind cover, and sync it in the edit.
Beat wind noise on onboard shots
Wind ruins more car audio than anything else. Use a furry windscreen on outside mics and mount them out of the airflow. For interior shots, close the windows and turn off the fan. A second mic near the driver catches their voice over the road noise.
