Privacy policy: what VideoBB collects and why
What VideoBB collects when you sign in, upload and watch, why it is kept, which cookies are used, what we never do with your data and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, display name and Google account identifier (sign-in is Google-only; there are no passwords), and the videos, comments, likes, follows and playlists you create.
- Playback data: hashed, short-lived playback session data (derived from your IP address and browser) used to measure genuine viewing and to detect artificial traffic; how much of a video was watched; and, for signed-in members, the position to resume from.
- Technical logs: request logs with IP address and user agent, kept for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
- Payments: viewer tips are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store card numbers. Premium is paid from creator earnings, recorded in your earnings ledger.

What we do not do
- No advertising networks or trackers run on VideoBB pages or in the embedded player. Promoted placements are sold directly and chosen by the page's context, never by a profile of you.
- Referral links (
?ref=) set a first-party cookie holding only a channel handle for 30 days, so the creator who referred you can be credited if you sign up. - We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
- Embedded players on third-party sites record a view; they do not read cookies from the host page.

Your browser's local storage remembers player volume, the chosen quality and unfinished uploads.
Your rights
Export or delete your data
You can export or delete your data from the account page, or ask us through the contact form.
Closing your account
Closing your account removes your videos immediately and deletes the files within 30 days.
Inactive videos that are not public
VideoBB is not a storage service. A private or unlisted video that nobody else has watched for 30 days is deleted, together with its files. The terms of service and the help article explain the rule and the warning you get first.
Children
VideoBB is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
