What makes a clip worth sharing
A shareable clip is short, clear from the first second and makes sense without any backstory. Most clips here are Shorts. Any video of three minutes or less becomes a Short automatically and plays in the vertical Shorts player.
Nobody can promise that a clip will spread. What you can control is whether it is watchable, credited and yours to post.
Film it yourself or get permission
The safest clip to post is one you filmed. Reposting other people's videos is the most common problem in this category. If you repost, ask the owner first, credit them by name and link to the original. Owners can file a takedown through the copyright and DMCA page, and three strikes in 90 days close a channel.
Do not upload the same clip twice
Uploading one clip several times, or reposting a clip that is already on VideoBB, counts as spam under the rules on duplicate uploads. Post it once, with a clear title, and share that one link.
Start on the action
Cut the lead-up. Open on the moment itself and end a beat after it. If the clip is funny because of a sound, say so in the title, since many people scroll with the sound off.
Keep any text on screen large and near the middle of the frame. Phone apps and players put buttons along the edges, and a caption in the corner can end up hidden under them.
Clip shapes and where they work
Choose the frame shape by where most people will watch.
| Shape | Frame size | Works best for |
|---|---|---|
| Vertical 9:16 | 1080 x 1920 | Phones and the Shorts player |
| Square 1:1 | 1080 x 1080 | Posts in social feeds |
| Wide 16:9 | 1920 x 1080 | Embeds and desktop viewing (shown letterboxed as a Short) |
Sharing a clip beyond VideoBB

- Turn the best two seconds into a loop with the video to GIF converter. Keep GIFs short and narrow.
- Embeds keep working on other sites, follow the video's visibility and carry a small VideoBB watermark.
Frequently asked questions
Can I repost a viral video I found on another site?
Only with the owner's permission, or where the law clearly allows it. Credit the creator and link to the original. Without permission, the owner can have it taken down.
Why does my vertical clip say 1080p and not 1920p?
VideoBB measures quality on the short side of the frame. A 1080 x 1920 vertical clip counts as 1080p, which free viewers can watch in full.
