Share links and start times

Every VideoBB video has a permanent link that you can copy from the Share button. You can also make the link start at a set moment, so people land on the part that matters.

How to share a video

1. Press Share under the player.
2. On a phone, your phone's own share sheet opens. Pick an app.
3. On a computer, a window opens with the link and a Copy button.
4. Press Copy, or pick WhatsApp, Facebook, X, email, Reddit, LinkedIn, Telegram or Pinterest.

How the link is built

A link looks like videobb.com/v/v7fs1pq-title-of-the-video.html. The id after /v/, here v7fs1pq, is the part that matters. If the title changes later, old links still work and lead to the new address. Shorts use addresses that start with /shorts/.

Start the video at a set time

1. Play or pause the video at the moment you want.
2. Press Share and tick Start at. The box fills in the current time, and you can change it.
3. Copy the link. It now ends in ?t= and a number of seconds, for example ?t=90.

The Start at box is not offered for Shorts, which are short enough to watch from the top.

Other ways to copy a timed link

• Right-click the video and choose Copy video URL at current time.
• Open the gear menu and choose Copy link at current time. See player settings and shortcuts.
• Type ?t= and the number of seconds at the end of any watch link yourself.

Timestamps in comments and descriptions

Type a time such as 1:30 in a comment or a video description, and it becomes a link that jumps to that moment. It only works for times inside the video's length. This is a handy way to build a simple chapter list.

Who can open the link

• Public videos: anyone, and they are listed on your channel and in feeds.
• Unlisted videos: anyone who has the link, but they are not listed anywhere.
• Private videos: only you. Other people see a page that does not exist.
